Soltero – Grupo Niche

Grupo Niche were formed in Cali in 1978 and have pretty much been putting out solid hits since then!  If you have danced Salsa you have danced to Grupo Niche.  No question.

Every DJ has some Grupo Niche in their collection and for good reason – dance floors love it… and if you want to keep your Colombian dancers happy just throw on one of their classics!

Only 5 years

It’s only been 5 years since their 35th anniversary album dropped but no matter as “40” has more of the good stuff.  “Soltero” is a stand out for me and I can’t wait to have a dance floor to play it to – and there is plenty here to like, whether you like your Salsa heavy, romantic or fast (“Happy Viche” is a fun, speedy number).

Should I buy it?

Yes – there’s a variety of tracks on here so have a listen and pick the ones that you like.  Also I suggest checking out their back catalogue as there is too much good stuff to mention – although I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t mention their anthem “Cali Pachanguero“!
